EU research, development and innovation agenda: Opportunities for Serbia and the Western Balkans

are organising an Information and Training
Seminar on EU cooperation and funding opportunities in research and innovation
on 10-11 October 2013 in Belgrade, Serbia..
This two-day event will be held for researchers,
science administrators and innovators in the Western Balkan region, who wish to
more actively participate in the EU research, development and innovation programmes.
The seminar will consist of two parts: the general information session and the practical
The general information session will focus on national and EU
priorities and funding opportunities in research and innovation. It will offer
a platform for key policy-making and funding organisations to share the most
up-to-date information with the research and innovation stakeholders in the
Western Balkan region. Special attention will be paid to the EU’s Framework
Programme for Research and Innovation (Horizon 2020), the EU Structural Funds,
Eureka and other relevant programmes. The general information session will be
open to a broad range of participants from local universities, research centers
and high-tech companies, including SMEs.
The practical training session will offer valuable practical
advice on how to prepare and run EU-funded projects in research and innovation.
Specifically, issues related to networking, partnership-building, legal and
financial administration of projects and other practical matters will be
presented by experienced experts of Europlan. The training session will provide
an excellent opportunity to learn, practice, network, and prepare most
effectively for the new cycle of the EU R&D programmes.
